Goals for 2021 | #Jan30 14

Hello, everyone. Welcome to another episode of the Jan 30 series. Today, I'm going to be a bit selfish, and rather than give you guys a bit of value, I'm going to talk about Yellow Glove Productions. Now, hopefully, it does give you a bit value, because hopefully you can take away something from this and maybe apply it into your own video content. I'll get straight into it. It's about the goals for Yellow Glove Productions in 2021. I thought I'd do this video just because I believe that if I say what the goals are, then it's possible that you may be able to help, or you might know someone who can get on board with them or anything like that. It's always good to hear what other people are up to as well and it may be inspiring in some way to some of you. So who knows, hopefully, let's get into it.

So the first goal is to complete the Jan 30 Challenge, that was my first and one of my big goals for 2021. I wanted to do this just to prove to myself, I can have some consistency with putting out video content and then drop myself in the deep end with it. It's all very exciting at the same time, trying to keep content engaging in its real challenge creatively. I'm very excited to see the results at the end of it as well. I'm already seeing some interesting results on the analytics, on my website in terms of inquiries and interest in certain packages. I'm very excited to complete the challenge and, of course, get ticked off at the end of January. At the start of the year, it's going to be a really good achievement.

So the second goal has more to do with the client side of things, you, the viewer, it may be of interest. We're going to try and take on another retainer client this year. Just towards the end of last year, we got our first official retained clients, so we're going to be consistently making video content for them throughout the year. They're really on board in terms of video marketing and using video content to capture the attention of potential and existing customers. It's really exciting when someone shares that vision with you as well and want to put out consistently good video content and realizes the effect it has on people, which is really good.

So the third goal for this year is to create a fully creative advert. I think that makes sense. So rather than the branding videos and the walkthrough videos we do, which we absolutely love, we want to try and expand a bit and do some more acted out things as well. So we really want to get into sharing concepts, like we've done in the past with music videos, creating concepts and bringing them to life in front of the camera, but for businesses. Video is all about story and storytelling, so why not use that in an even more creative way than we do already? The reason for this goal is just purely for experimentation. We really want to try using new concepts, new equipment, new lighting techniques, which may be unconventional when it comes to the branding side of things or documentary side of things.

If there are any people out there that are looking to have a fully created script to screen ad, get in touch because we'd love to talk about some concepts with you. So the fourth and final goal on the list is actually more of a personal goal, I think, which is to create a short film. So I really got into making video because of making creative shorts and making stop motion films when I was young and things like that. And when you're creating video, it's great to be able to do creative things within business and with properties and everything like that, but to create a story and then make it into a script, produce it and put it on the screen, it's just a feeling like no other.

So getting back into making shorts is definitely something that I hope to achieve this year and just to work with some amazing people that share the same drive and ambition as I do. That's it really in terms of the four main goals for 2021. If you're watching, then I'd love it if you could put some of your 2021 goals as well in the comments below. As always, thank you very much for watching and I'm looking forward to speaking to you all tomorrow. Bye for now.
