Video marketing on a budget, top tips for filming on your phone | #Jan30 06
Hello there, Jasper from Yellow Glove Productions!
You as a viewer might be wondering why this video doesn’t look like my normal Panasonic HD, 10 bit, colour graded way.
That’s because I’m being filmed on an iPhone.
Why I hear you ask? Well that’s because I want to prove a point.
A lot of people who I have spoken whether it’s networking or just in passing say that they want to start using video in their business.
However, they often think that they need to plan one massive video pay lots of money and sort out a company to film it and loads of other barriers.
While getting experts like myself and team in can be a huge benefit to making your video content great. It’s not the one way to make video work for you.
Most of us have phones in our pocket that do a great job of capturing our family holidays and special moments.
Start using that camera to film yourself in order to get video in your business!
Write a couple of scripts and plan some mornings or afternoons where you can film that content.
A couple of tips:
Plan: Script these videos and stick to your plan. You can use these scripts as blogs as well which is a bonus for everyone trying to improve their SEO.
Light: I’m using the last of the afternoon light to get what hopefully looks like a nice warm glow. There’s a lot of ways of using natural light to your advantage so pick a spot outside or in your house that’s got a nice patch of light and start filming.
Sound: Get a mic that either attached to your phone or an external one like I have on now that you can sync up.
I’m hoping this inspires some of you to get on board with introducing video into your business and enables you to bring value to your clients.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about filming yourself for your business. Maybe you’ve been using everything I’ve said already, let me know how it’s been going for you.
Thank you for watching! Bye for now.
