Martin and Lucy | Foxton Village Hall and Great Easton Church St Andrew | Leicestershire Wedding Videographer
Martin and Lucy’s Wedding day was the ultimate countryside wedding; from the quiet village where the elegant church was located to the Foxton Village Hall where guests could relax on hay seats with a harpist playing in the background. The day was perfect for this Bride and Groom. This Wedding was a Platinum Package one which meant that filming would start from Bridal Prep and continue up to the First Dance. It was an early start for us, we arrived at the Foxton Lodges where Lucy and the Bridal Party were getting ready. We captured some great footage which included everyone having fun and the details of the dress and jewellery.
Next up was the Church, located in Great Easton, St Andrews was packed with the friends and family of Martin and Lucy eager to see the happy couple tie the knot. Martin and the grooms party arrived on a vintage David Brown Tractor (which I am told had set fire just a week before so it was fingers crossed for the wedding day) which looked very comfortable parked outside the church in its countryside setting.
Once Lucy arrived to the church in a lovely vintage car the ceremony got underway, it was a hot day but the ceremony was so enjoyable I believe that most of the guests, the Bride and the Groom forgot about the temperature for the main part and just enjoyed the moment. The vows were beautifully said and the couple were official, it was just lovely.
After the ceremony it was the creative video opportunity with Lucy and Martin, it was great capturing them just after the ceremony; you could really get a sense of the emotion and the love they have for each other. For Brides and Grooms who are unfamiliar with our process: We keep most of the day to a documentary / non-intrusive style and then we like to get some posed shots for a brief time between the Ceremony and Reception so you can enjoy the day without being concerned about what we are doing. Like Martin and Lucy, we love to have our Brides and Grooms relaxed and having fun on their special day.
The Foxton Village Hall was a great location for the reception; it had a wonderful country charm and Martin and Lucy had decorated the venue perfectly; fresh sunflowers, tea cups, a LOVE sign that Martin himself had handmade, the set up was unique to the Bride and Groom and went down a treat. After the meal Lucy’s Father, Martin and the two Best men gave heartfelt and entertaining speeches which worked very well when editing together the video.
Roll on the evening do! If you have read this blog before then you’ll know that Live Bands are one of my favourite things at a Wedding reception. This band were brilliant as they soundtracked the night perfectly tune after tune. Martin and Lucy had a beautiful first dance and when everyone else joined in the atmosphere was just amazing, I believe that everyone had an incredible time, especially when the cheese board came out, something I will be suggesting to my future Bride and Grooms I think!
We’re to wishing Martin and Lucy all the best in the future and thank them for being such a great couple.
