Video Production for Charities - Short Documentaries and legacy events

In recent years, video production and video marketing has emerged as a powerful tool for non-profit organisations and charities to connect with their audience and supporters to report the impact their services are having. Yellow Glove Productions have worked with numerous national and local charities to create thought provoking video content that effectively tells their story and helps charities achieve their goals.

One of the most effective ways to use video content to showcase your charity's story is by identifying what makes your cause unique. This could be a groundbreaking project, a new approach to addressing an issue, or a unique partnership. By highlighting what sets your charity apart, you can establish a unique identity that helps you stand out from other non-profit organisations and build trust with your audience.

One example of this would be when we created the Minds and Voices short film for the DEEP Networking 10th Anniversary; the Minds and Voices group meet in York and offer support for those living with dementia through a monthly round table discussion. It may sound like a simple idea at first, but when you realise that people at the group are at various different stages in their journey with dementia then you are taken aback by the power that the York based group gives to those who may be written off by others.

The short documentary showcased a small segment of the DEEP Network and Innovation in Dementias’ story, not only did it continue to present their unique identity but also helped them to connect with their audience on another level.

As a charity, by sharing a poignant story, you give your audience a glimpse into your charity's culture, values, and mission, which can help build trust and establish a loyal base of supporters.

In addition to showcasing your charity's story, video content can also be used to demonstrate your impact and showcase your work. For example, you could create a video that highlights the impact of your charity's work on individuals or communities, which not only shows your expertise but also serves as social proof of your impact.

Another one of our charity clients is Voluntary Action Leicester (VAL), we created a video highlighting the impact of their closing projects, the GREAT and YES project. Using videos recorded over zoom by VAL, we put together a compilation of the different success stories of project participant and the project providers. These videos were then played at the Futures Reimagined Legacy Event to highlight to supporters the incredible impact that the projects had. Both the videos were met with a brilliant response and captured the charities own piece of history as well as providing a tool they can use to attract funding in the future.

We are passionate about helping charities tell their story through video content and would love to help you achieve your goals. Yellow Glove Productions can work with you to create a video marketing strategy that effectively showcases your charity's story and helps you achieve your goals.
