Wedding Videography is not what it was in the 80s | Wedding Advice Midlands
Hello blog readers!
Today I’m going to be talking about how videography, much like a lot of the technology from the 80s, has changed for the better! Feel free to watch the video below or read the blog post, do both if that’s what you feel like.
Do you remember cartridge video games? Polaroid cameras? Big shoulder mounted VHS cameras?
Have you seen pictures of the weddings with some of the most outrageous dresses ever? (Watch the video if you haven’t, there are some good ones!)
I don’t remember the 1980s but I do know that a lot has changed since then. I don’t mean to diss the 80s at all but I just wanted to tell you all just how wedding videography is one of the things that has made huge changes since it was introduced.
Gone are the days of VHS quality, films now are in full HD which means that spotting everyone’s faces is going to be easier and watching it back in 10 years time won’t be a problem.
Have you ever watched your parent’s wedding video? If so then you will know that it is an important reminder of their day and acts just the same as the videos we creates; it acts as a time capsule to take you back to that day in that year and helps you to relive the whole experience. The difference now if that wedding videos are no longer just point and shoot documentary style videos, we will carefully craft your video in order to bring out the best story of the day. Technology now allows us videographers to get some lovely cinematic shots throughout the day along with clear audio that can all be put together to create your story, through your highlights and your full length video.
The point is…technology has changed which has led to videography changing, all for the better! We still do the same job as video guys and gals in the 80s in terms of capturing the day BUT the whole process has become more refined and improved.
If you have made it this far then thank you for reading! We’d love to hear if we can help tell the story of your special day, just drop us a message through the contact page and we’ll be in touch asap.
Thank you again for reading.
