5 Places to Place Your Company's Promotional Video | Marketing Tips

Today I want to talk about something that can sometimes be overlooked during the whole video process.

What do you do actually with your video when it’s completed?

After all the planning, filming and editing is done your left with an amazing video to represent your business.

Now the go to is normally to post that video straight onto your website and social media without thought. But there are a couple of specific ways in which you can really get the most out of your video

So let’s get into it:

1

Number 1 on the list: Organic social media posts.

Seems obvious right? But when done correctly these can really catch on and create a lot of good engagement for your video.

If you’re quite regimented with your social media already then be sure to have a look at your analytics and see what sort of posts that your community is interacting with already and what time it’s being put out online.

Try and put some compelling text in your post as well, this can be an offer, giving customers emoting when they sign up or purchase your product or service.

It can be a thank you message, a story about the ad, there are lots of different options that all work well.

The second way to get the best results out of your video online links in nicely with my first suggestion.

Number two on the list is targeted adverts. This is another proven method of gaining interaction and getting leads from your video.

Some of our most successful videos have been created exclusively for use on facebook adverts to get some incredible results over a number of years!

As I mentioned before, having great text and an offer to go with your ad is always good practice. We also strongly recommend looking into having a facebook pixel on your site, this gathers the likenesses of visitors on your website and will allow you to retarget them when they’re on Facebook or create a lookalike audience which means that people similar to those previous visitors will be able to see your video ad as well.

If you’re targeting Businesses rather than individuals, LinkedIn also has tag that can help to set up a retargeting campaign!

Number three is email campaigns!

We use tools like sendinblue to send out email campaigns that allow us to send out multiple emails at once and get in touch with new leads, as well as keep previous clients up to date with our latest news.

Sending video is great as it gives people a good reason to clickthrough on that email rather than having to read through a large body of text which can sometimes be a bit off putting.

Useful tips like putting the person’s name in the subject line or even doing an individual video intro just for them can lead to great results when it comes to getting people to click through to enquire through your email campaigns.

The fourth way of getting the most out of your video is simply putting it on your front page. Your website is your virtual shop front so allow potential customers to have a look inside and see what you do and why you do it best!

Text is always good on your website for SEO and lining out details but if you can capture visitors’ attention straight away with a video then you’re immediately going to be more in that visitors mind as opposed to that other website they just went to that was purely just text.

5

Last on the list, number 5, Events.

Roller banners are great BUT make sure that at your next event you bring a big TV and have your video playing on it to give people walking by a reason to stop and take a look at your stand!

Also, if you’re delivering a talk or masterclass at an event then, that video is the perfect way, at the start of your presentation, to introduce yourself and your business to everyone in the room.

I hope you’ve enjoyed learning about some of these tools that are extremely useful when it comes to releasing your video. If you have any questions at all video wise, feel free to message myself or get in touch through the Yellow Glove Productions website.
